What to Expect When Shipping Natural Wax Candles – Tips, Benefits & Real Talk.

We love natural wax — and if you’re here, chances are, you do too.

At Colo Decor Boutique, we work exclusively with natural soy wax and beeswax because they’re cleaner, safer, and so much more soulful.

But being natural also means being… a little unpredictable.

And that’s okay — here’s what to expect when you order a handmade candle made with real, honest ingredients:

1. Natural wax is sensitive to temperature

Because soy and beeswax have a lower melting point than synthetic waxes, they can soften or slightly sweat during warm transit months.

This doesn’t affect the performance or scent — just a natural reaction to heat. (We pack carefully, always!)

2. Frosting is normal

Ever noticed a slightly cloudy or frosted appearance on the surface of soy wax?

That’s not a flaw — it’s a sign of purity. Frosting happens when soy wax cools and crystallizes naturally. We don’t fight it — we embrace it.

3. Minor cracks or texture changes may appear

Especially in colder seasons, soy wax can contract slightly, forming small cracks on the surface.

Good news? These disappear after the first burn, and your candle settles beautifully.

4. Each candle is one of a kind

Because we pour by hand, using real pigments and plant-based wax, no two candles will ever be exactly the same.

That’s the beauty of it — your candle is truly yours.

5. Our promise: it will burn beautifully

Despite all the charming quirks of natural wax, one thing stays consistent — a clean, even, long-lasting burn.

Our candles are tested, wicked with care, and poured in small batches for quality you can feel.
